Converting Documents to PDFs
There are so many free PDF converters available. If you are asked by a client to convert a document to a PDF I recommend Pdf995.
If you have never converted a document to a PDF, it’s one of the simplest jobs you will be asked to do as a Virtual Assistant.
Here are the instructions for anyone who hasn’t done this before:
- Download your PDF conversion software.
- Open the document that you want to convert to a PDF.
- Select File > Print.
- From the printer selection drop down menu select the PDF software.
- Press Ok and hey presto a PDF!
Joining Word and Excel Documents to PDFs
Now joining a number of different documents into a PDF is more complicated and would be difficult to describe so I’ve made a short video for you. If you are going to use Pdf995 you will need to download all the products Pdf995, PdfEdit995 and Signature995.
They are all free to download but there’s always a drawback – the rather annoying adverts, as you will see in the video below !
You can pay for the software and the adverts won’t appear.
I have used this software to create PDFs from multiple documents and it has worked well.
